What You Will Be Doing
We are looking for someone with a passion for product design and integration, focused on bringing holistic thinking to the design, development, and delivery of our products and processes.

Deep industry expertise must be complemented by an ability to flex and fill in gaps as needed. You are independent and have strong intrinsic motivation in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment. You are a strong team player and can pivot quickly in the face of shifting priorities.

Focused on Modwall, our adaptable interior room system, you will lead product development to increase delivery efficiency, improve performance, and manage the process of turning designs into reality. You will work with our installation partners and customers in the field to ensure that our product is delivered smoothly and effectively.

Our ideal candidate has experience with design engineering and product development for construction projects. You will bring innovative thinking that is also pragmatic enough to be adopted broadly in the construction industry; and will understand how to organize product development workstreams and continuous improvements to meet project delivery and revenue goals.

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Design & Development

  • Collaborate with leadership to develop product design and process improvements that increase performance and reduce cost, informed by market data and research.
  • Manage product documentation tools to improve procurement process efficiency and accuracy, including bill of materials, inventory management, and fabrication documentation.

Project Application

  • Deliver product application solutions and documentation, including producing drawings and REVIT assets as necessary.
  • Modify and improve design and fabrication documents, primarily in Revit, to incorporate product design revisions and improvements.
  • Develop customer implementation documents.
  • Identify issues and blockers that may delay or impede the success of products in project application, communicate to leadership, assess alternatives to resolve, and take action to resolve.
  • Ensure customer and business goals remain aligned with identified customer needs.
  • Own and develop mechanisms to ensure post-installation learnings are captured into best-practices frameworks or templates, for use in future product launches across the enterprise.

Project & Procurement Management

  • Maintain/develop vendor relationships and guide project procurement, including cost tracking.
  • Coordinate sourcing activities to ensure material is delivered on-time per project schedules
  • Initiate and track all aspects of the material sales fulfillment process including quoting, sourcing, delivery, and invoicing
  • Coordinate with on-site installers to provide product implementation guidance and ensure successful implementation
 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Product Design, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field).
  • 8-12 years of experience in two or more of the following: architectural product design, construction management, project management, product management.
  • Strong Revit skills for creating project specific design and fabrication documents.
  • Construction process and product integration experience.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects with design, engineering, and analytics resources

  • A passion for product development and operations, including a focus on continuous process improvement (experience with Lean and/or Agile a plus).
  • Experience managing external partners and priorities across multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Strong financial acumen.
